by falmouth ice arena posted 05/01/2011 The New Falmouth Ice Arena project calls for a 7 acre site to house one standard NHL size arena (200 x 85) and one ½ rink to be used for skills, figure skating, recreational skating, birthday parties and hockey schools (learn to play, learn to skate pro-grams). We shall have two Zamboni’s, a skate shop, large foyer, well stocked concession area, ample seating and parking.
Our goal is to begin in the spring 2011. Fundraising is a key factor in meeting this timetable.
The final plans based on square footage have brought our costs into the $5.5M range. Grant applications, private donations, sponsorships and naming rights should allow us to continue to provide the best cost per skater in USA Hockey.
How can I help?
Contributions can be made in the following ways, cash, pledge of stocks and bonds, estate planning, corporate sponsorship, grant money or matching funds. If there are extra funds remaining after construction, those monies will be placed in an endowment to assist children in getting the opportunity to skate and/or play hockey; a chance that they might not have otherwise afforded. Your commitment will be made public, but should you choose to remain anonymous we would honor your wishes.

Can I designate my gift to a specific piece of the project?
There are many naming opportunities in our new building including the complex itself, Rink A and Rink B, the lobby, coaches’ rooms, and team dressing rooms etc.
